Negative Great Plains Moving and Storage Reviews
Terri Kraft, Google
"Worst move ever. I am missing so many items from my move from Denver to Ohio. So many items missing they must have not loaded everything back. I do not recommend this company."
"Do not use Great Plains Moving if you want all your items to arrive undamaged and clean. Movers/packers were inexperienced and unprofessional. Mostly everything the movers packed were damaged. Communication stopped once contract was signed."
"RUN,DO NOT WALK--unresponsive management--lost our truck for four days--thousands of dollars of our belongings stolen--no response from management--RUN AWAY!!!"
Neutral Great Plains Moving and Storage Reviews
"Our goods were packed and transported well. Everything arrived on time and no damaged items. Communication from great plains was not good—not very responsive to email, and did not have any contact with us during the move."
"The Move Coordinator was pleasant to work with. The packers of the Kitchen did a wonderful job, no breakage in transit. However, boxes were mis-labeled, and an antique chest had decorative filigree broken off."
"All in all it was a decent experience. The coordinator was awesome and very responsive... However there was one piece damaged, and one that is simply missing, so we will see how the claim with North American Van lines turns out."

Our summary of Great Plains Moving and Storage
Clear patterns emerge from feedback about Great Plains Moving and Storage: Many customers report working with professional, polite movers who handle belongings with care, provide responsive updates, and efficiently manage the moving process. Positive feedback often highlights good communication with coordinators like Liz and Chad, quick service, and helpful teams that follow through even when challenges arise. On the other hand, more than half of input indicates frustration with frequent property damage, poor communication after contracts are signed, and late arrivals or missed delivery windows. Clients regularly mention lost or broken items and have difficulty getting claims resolved. Compared to other movers, Great Plains stands out when the staff is attentive and detail-oriented but falls short when consistency slips, especially in communication and item safety. Out of 157 reviews, only about 41% reflect a positive experience, while a significant 53% voice major concerns, showing that quality depends greatly on which team and staff handle the move.Ratings based on moveBuddha's research methodology, updated June 2026.
