"We were quoted on the phone for 2 hours of work, but they were so slow and ponderous loading and unloading the truck that it took over 6 hours! At $94 an hour, that's significantly more money than I had planned to spend. We even took apart the bed and a couple other items just to save some time, not to mention being completely prepared ahead of time (everything boxed and labeled, everything staged in the garage to require less maneuvering around the apartment, etc.). ... Our brand new media table now has a dinged corner and some of laminate is peeling off, both of our bookcases are scraped up around the bottom, and our dining table looks like a child went at it with a fork. They also lost some of our stuff somehow. So far we're missing a linens bag that had pillows and few other items, but after we finish unpacking there might be more that disappeared from the truck."

"The movers were friendly and courteous. However, having moved so many times and hired so many different movers, my experience this time wasn't the best. They took the longest time (more than twice the time compared to my last move with exact same amount of stuff) than any of the previous movers have. They left all the plastic wrap and such trash behind too. I have never had to clean up after movers before. Everything was labeled by the room and they still kept coming up to us asking where we want the stuff."

"I called Budget Movers and one guy came to my house and did a free estimation. He said the rate for 3 movers + truck will be ~$129 per hour. I asked if there's any other fees, and he said everything was included. He also mentioned they would bring 5 wardrobe boxes for free but they will take them back after moving. On the day of moving, three guys showed up on time. And at least two of them worked really hard. Everything was good until the time to pay. I was charged $75 extra for Wraps and Tapes. The guy was going to charge me for the wardrobe boxes too, but took them off the bill after I argued. Anyway I have no much complaint for the workers as they worked hard. I paid $60 tips, but still not happy with the $75 of extra charges, as I was told $129 includes everything..."

However, I was shocked at the cost and time it took to move—about twice what I paid for a move 2 yrs ago with much LESS furniture.
