"Hired MK for a third time. They were heavily staffed with college kids who we found were not sufficiently trained. They damaged three different pieces of wood furniture (two the only antiques we own) that were insufficiently wrapped and protected in our move. The team lead took photos when we pointed out the damage, and now it’s been 2.5 weeks with no response to phone calls or email for follow up on repair."

"Worst experience. If you have nice things and want them handled with care - I encourage you to find another company. They left trash in our bushes and at our home. They ruined our pottery barn dining table, washer and dryer along with countless other items. They were blasting inappropriate music while moving items into our home and it was absolutely the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. My husband and I called back immediately after the move was complete in order to talk to the manager and claims department but we never heard anything from them. It has been 8 months and still no response."

"MK came to our house to provide us with an on-site moving estimate for a local move but then they never followed up with a quote even after I called and talked to them multiple times letting them know that I’m still waiting to receive the quote. If they can be so unprofessional and unresponsive prior to a move, you can only imagine how unprofessional and unresponsive they would be after a move in case you need to talk to them if there are any issues. We are so glad we went with a different moving company because our move went flawless. I would never recommend MK Movers to anybody else."

"The actual movers were superb! Brian ran a good crew. They were very nice, introduced themselves and had highly entertaining banter amongst themselves, which helped during my stress. All but 2 items arrived in tact, so that's good. (Freakishly strong too) It was the lack of connect with the front office that I found concerning. The front office was given my new address as Batavia, twice. The movers went to the address given, but in St. Charles. That was rectified and 15 minutes was taken off the move. The biggest thing was that movers were to arrive with wardrobe boxes and they didn't, so closet clothing was never moved. When I called the office manger during the move to inquire, instead of taking ownership of the problem as a team, she deflected fault to the movers (sorry, it was on there list), no action or reconciliation was taken. The movers had already stated this was a very common front office mistake; no one took ownership and left the problem for me! I'm still moving clothes."

"We used them for an out of state move. I packed the house and had everything in the garage (except for furniture) and they were very efficient with loading the truck. They stored our things for 4.5 months and were very accommodating when I had to change our delivery date a few times. Zack let me know when they arrived in SC and kept me updated with their arrival time. He and Sal are great guys. My 3 stars isn’t because of them. My first issue is MK Movers lost the hardware to one of our beds. Zack and Sal weren’t our furniture packers so they had no idea where it was or any way to remedy the situation. Second- they had to rent a Ryder truck and a few boxes and contents were wet from a leak. Zack sent pictures to the office as proof. Missing hardware and a leak happen- but the office knew and no one has called to see how they can help. No satisfaction survey or attempt to make things right. My son’s bed has been discontinued and it was extremely difficult to find hardware that we could rig to make it work. My paperback books are still drying. I’ve heard worse stories about other companies so mine isn’t a moving horror story, but checking in would be good customer service regardless of issues."
