Stated they will be back the next day. The items that were missing were from iteam label packed fromthe crew from the first day of packing. I will be doing all my packing myself. They are hiring thiefs and not taking any accountability."

"Please read this before you decide to use this moving company for your next move or for storage purposes. My husband and I had our furniture and personal belongings moved by Johnson Storage and Moving Company and placed in their storage facility downtown San Diego eight years ago. After the recent death of my husband in January, I had my items moved by Johnson to another facility and during that move discovered two missing pieces of furniture. A 90" X 48" Drexel Heritage china cabinet and a 5' X 4' framed mirror. The glass shelves that went in the china cabinet were with my belongings but these two pieces of furniture were gone. In addition a table base that has a 5' round table top was broken. When I told the woman at Johnson about this her response was fill out the claim form. She also told me that because we did not purchase insurance at the time of the original move, there replacement value would only be based on .60 cents per pound. After completing this form, I received a form letter with a check for $192.00. Not only did this not even cover the cost of the repair for the table base but it certainly did not even come close to the replacement value of the two missing pieces. I then wrote a letter to Johnson and sent a copy to United Van Lines asking them why I should pay for insurance to insure that they properly move and store my things. My mirror and china cabinet left my house on their truck eight years ago along with my other items and somehow disappeared while in their possession. How on earth can you lose two large pieces of furniture. I never received a response from my letters or a telephone call. I never received an explanation or an apology for their incompetence. Putting the blame back on me because we didn't purchase insurance is their way of not assuming responsibility. My husband and I have moved many times over the years and have never encountered anything like this. Please think twice about using this company."

"Please beware! They will steal your belongings and never answer your calls after! We had a move with this company in April where the men left their professional dolly and supplies at our home. We went out of our way to contact them so they could come pick up their belongings! While arranging pick up, we asked if we could give them a couple items we had forgotten to be put with the rest of our belongings for our move. The gentleman said yes! So he came to get his dolly and supplies, and took our $1200+ Uppababy Vista stroller with all the amenities, our Tempurpedic california king Luxe Breeze mattress cover ($500+ with tax) plus a couple smaller items like a bathroom rug and an extension rod. When our moving truck delivered our belongings, every single item was in the truck except what was given to that worker. We have contacted Johnson moving for WEEKS. At first, it was to clear up where this worker put our stuff and to simply locate it! But as they’ve continued to ignore our detailed voicemails of the issue on every number their secretary has forwarded us to, it’s become apparent that they’re well aware the worker stole or lost our items and not willing to be held responsible! We’ve even been transferred to the “highest up” (who of course doesn’t answer), left a voicemail there too, and not a single soul has returned our calls. This company should not be trusted. Not only will they steal your belongings, but you’ll never hear from them again! How unbelievably unprofessional! They were contracted by the Navy but we will be submitting a formal complaint to ensure it’s the last time they steal from relocating service men and their families again!"
