Jose, the driver for Bekins, showed up at our house to pick our household items up on time and delivered them to our new house on time. The guys helping him, both in Oceanside and Rapid City, were courteous and professional. Most importantly nothing was broken! This was our first experience using a moving company and we were very impressed. We would highly recommend them!"

"Originally I gave them 5 stars because of how quick they packed everything. Now it’s 5 months later and I’m still missing a couple items. I’ve tried to get the two items reimbursed but they denied my claims so now I’m leaving a review because it’s the only thing I can do at this point. After they packed everything up there were bits of trash left around the house. Not that big of a deal however there were at least 3 screw’s left on the ground in the alleyway where myself and everyone else drives, which could pop someone’s tire. The two items that went “missing” are an Amazon Alexa and the 2nd set of keys to my brand new car. The Alexa I don’t really care too much about since I bought it for around $30 but the keys cost $400 to replace. I placed both items with all my other electronics in a box and they disappeared. All the other electronics were there but those items went missing. I believe that they stole them. I have searched everything three times. Do not use them to move."

"Wildly disappointed. Company confirmed move dates multiple times. Day of move -pushed it back a day. Then was told they would be moving us between 9-10am. Showed up with two people at 1pm. Multiple calls went straight to voicemail between 11am-1pm. Only half of the packing was done on that day. Told that they would return at 9am the next day. Showed up at 3pm the next day with skeleton crew. I've done 6 moves in the pat 15 years. By far the worst experience of the 6. I can't imagine how it could be worse than this."

"Military couple that moved from Japan to San Diego. Items were missing. They lost all of the parts that I needed to put my furniture, beds, desk, stands, and plugs to my TVs. I had to pay for new items for my family. Also, movers hit my front door, causing damage. Please see pic below with a dolly trying to open the door. Being lazy and careless, they also left their tools at the house and haven't picked them up. I'm having a hard time getting in contact with them to repair the damage. If you are a military member moving to San Diego, please be watchful if this company is doing your move."

"Suggest taking pictures of impt pieces. Lots of pictures up close that show condition before packing. You will need them if you are concerned about trying to make a claim for any kind of damages. And take the time to review the inventory prepared by packers because virtually every piece will be marked 'scratched' and 'worn' because it is used. Also, fewer larger boxes better than small for movers tho once they are gone, you will have to dig thru large boxes if you don't unpack right away and won't know what's what unless you fully label them. Mark clearly (diff color labels?) which room you want box to end up in."

"1-2 days after the move I discovered scratches on some of the furniture. I called Bekins and reported the damage. I was told that the employee I was talking to had to contact a superior and would come back to me within a day or two. I moved 2/26 and have so far not heard from them. Solveig Romberg"
