"They damaged at lot of my furniture and the men had a terrible attitude. Some of the crew were downright nasty. They were not prepared, for example, their drill had no battery charge for re assembling a bed frame. The men didn't seem strong enough to lift some of my furniture. They ripped the underside of a new Stearns and Foster mattress. The list of damage goes on and on. Not only furniture but wood trim in my new home was significantly damaged. The head guy made some extremely aggressive comments to me. The whole experience was horrible. The owner saw what was happening and gave me a substantial discount. It seemed like he had no controll over his workers. I should pursued compensation for all of the damage but was too overwhelmed with the process of moving to deal with it. It was a nightmare."

"I've moved many times in my life. This was the worst moving company I have ever used. They quoted me 340 and at the end of the move they wanted almost 600 because the job took longer. It took longer because they would carry in 2 chair legs at a time. I found them numerous times standing around and talking. I requested my mattress be covered and I even bought the cover. They never used it. My armoire was all knocked up along with my bedroom set. I wanted to cry. In the beginning I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They were young boys trying to make a living. They were so slow I couldn't believe they were professional movers. My son wound up helping them unload because even he was getting frustrated watching them carry 2 small items at a time. My move couldn't have been more stressful."

"I’ve moved many times and this was the worst with the combination of ridiculously pricy and unprofessional crew. Very slow: took half hour just folding blankets in the truck, one of the three guys was on the phone texting 1/3 of the time, literally; damaged my furnitures -chipped the top of my chest in bedroom(the guy denied it at destination when I spotted it because they padded it), scratched the surface of my ping pong table which we bought new last year (I caught the guy dragging the pingpong table going up on basement stair and had to ask and explain why he needed to lift it up.); broke the desk from my son’s room, etc etc. Some were found days/weeks after the move. Due to the very unpleasant communication with the owner which I still yet to have recovered from, I didn’t reach out after the move about the new findings of damages made. I will swallow the replacement/fix cost so we don’t need to deal with such rude people again to further our bad experience. But I do want to let folks out there know, how terrible this moving service could be in case you get unlucky with them as we did."

"Used Castle Express for two long distance moves. First time around, I would rate 4/5 as the movers were friendly, efficient, and came in under budget. Only complaint was that my sofa was damaged (small rip in the material), which was obviously an accident (would suggest wrapping items like this in the future). Second time using Castle Express I will rate 2/5, as the movers were friendly, but they arrived 45 min outside of the agreed upon window. The crew did not use moving blankets until I asked, which unfortunately after a marking was made on the unwrapped couch. I did receive a call from the owner immediately after the move who sincerely apologized for any inconvenience and tried to find a way to rectify the situation, which was much appreciated. Would still recommend this company for the price point, with the caution to monitor the crew during the move just to ensure the proper precautions are being taken."

"I own a business so I understand the importance of these reviews. I have used Castle Express twice before for office moves and they have always been excellent. Today they fell short. Job quote was for 3 guys. Only 2 showed. They showed 30 minutes late and the job took considerably longer than it needed to mostly because the guys would take lengthy breaks to get high. We ended up moving a considerable amount of stuff myself just to get the job done today. The crew was unable to move one key piece of furniture because they couldnt get it into the new space. When they called the office they were told not to disassemble it to move it. Not sure what the issue was. They had no issues moving it the last time. Charged me $40 bucks to junk a $500 piece of furniture. I like Joe a lot and I understand the issues getting reliable help post Covid, but if you cant do the job, just say so so I can look elsewhere. The price was fair but the service was really lacking this go around."
