Presto Logistics Review (2025): Cost & Customer Feedback
Here’s the bottom line: Presto Logistics is best for moves within California close to its office locations. We encourage you to get multiple quotes before you book, however.
- Storage options
- Handles hot tubs & pool tables
- Highly rated on BBB
Positive reviews mention reliable moving crews and quick quotes. However, we did find that many of its customers had issues with pricing that shifted between quote day and moving day. Other providers, including American Van Lines and Safeway Moving surpassed it for overall reputation and services provided and each offer service to most of California.
Regardless of the moving company you choose, you should always get multiple quotes. Choosing from one of our picks for the best interstate moving companies should be a positive first step in any move. Presto Logistics pricing: How much it costs to move
One prominent downside to Presto Logistics is that it doesn’t provide binding estimates. This can be a bit troubling if you’re planning a long-distance move, as many of the best moving companies provide this for interstate transit.
Moving out of state can cost thousands of dollars. Having at least three personalized moving quotes in-hand before booking a move with a licensed pro is the best way to get a range of price points and have a fair expectation for cost ahead of moving day.
We couldn’t get a personalized quote from Presto without a video call or in-home consultation. Try out our moving cost calculator to get a baseline understanding of your potential budget for both local and interstate moves.
When getting quotes, remember to consider all facets of your moving costs. Put together a checklist to cover all of your bases. Aside from move distance and overall shipment volume and weight, the following could affect your rates:
- Packing services
- Crating for fine art or antiques
- Vehicle shipping
- Storage services
- Packing materials
- Move date or time of year
Look for moving companies that break down these additional costs line-by-line in their written estimates.
Note: Editor will include any quotes for this company obtained through the Better Moves Project, even if moving experiences are not available (i.e. if a Better Moves participant received a quote from the company, but ultimately chose another mover)
Presto offers a wide variety of services
This provider offers a similar range of services to many other professional movers. This includes residential and commercial relocations for both local and long-distance needs within the continental US. Presto Logistics offers the following options with these move packages.
Presto moving services offered:
- Packing: You can hire help to pack a single room or your entire home, regardless of whether you book Presto for a full relocation. This service can include crating for antique goods or breakable items.
- Storage: Presto’s climate-controlled and secure warehouses offer a safe location for your goods. This option is most convenient if you’re moving within California or Texas.
- Piano moving: This provider attaches a fee for moving upright or grand pianos; we always recommend asking about this to begin quotes.
- Appliance moving: Presto Logistics can assist with refrigerators and laundry machines as well.
- Heavy item moving: Other heavy goods, including pool tables and safes, are well within this mover’s service range.
What customers had to say about Presto Logistics
Overall, customer reviews are mixed for Presto Logistics. This is reflected by its Google Reviews scores and BBB ratings. We noted that many of its negative reviews and common complaints mention price hikes on moving day.
Carrie’s BBB review from June 2024 cites one of these experiences. They were quoted $7,500 for their relocation, but ended up being charged $12,000, aside from a few other moving day issues. These included damaged goods and substandard packing and loading practices by the moving crew.
It’s worth noting that moving companies can charge more than their quotes state, even when they’ve given you a binding estimate. However, it’s worth noting that you will not have to pay more than 110% of your quoted binding rate at the time of delivery to secure your goods.
So, if you’re given a binding estimate of $5,000, you’ll never be required to pay more than $5,500 at the point of delivery if your mover upcharges you. Be sure to review the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)’s Rights and Responsibilities booklet before moving to learn about this and more.
Positive reviews mention professionalism on the part of the moving crews, with Jose A’s February 2024 move going about as well as they could have hoped. Movers were on time and helped pack fragile goods for a full-service move at a reasonable rate.
To avoid estimate-related horror stories, you should always conduct a thorough in-person quote when possible. Many of Presto Logistics’ negative reviews appeared to stem from pricing disputes, which can be mitigated when customers and moving crews have a similar picture of what work is to be done on moving day.
How Presto Logistics stacks up against the competition
Getting quotes can be a confusing process if you’re inexperienced in dealing with professional movers. We understand that many of the top interstate moving companies offer similar services and have good customer reviews, and may be tough to choose between.
We’ve compared Presto Logistics to some of our picks for best moving companies here. We’re confident that this will help to provide some clarity before you get quotes.

Presto Logistics vs. Safeway Moving
Safeway Moving is a national carrier offering direct service to customers across all 50 states. Its fleet of more than 60 trucks primarily services moves heading to and from Florida, but it assists customers in most areas throughout the US. This makes it a more favorable option for moves to or from most locations.
As another plus, Safeway has far more reviews overall, with higher Google Review and BBB scores. It also advertises transparent binding rates for all of its long-distance moves. It does have some reviews mentioning price hikes on moving day, but this is the case with many of the companies that offer nationwide service.

Presto Logistics vs. American Van Lines
American Van Lines is similar to Safeway in that its home base is in Florida, and that it advertises binding estimates. If offers this service option virtually, but we always recommend scheduling an in-home quote for the most accurate price.
This mover has a distinct edge over Presto Logistics due to the number of add-on service options it offers. These include crating for antiques, fragile-only packing, piano moving and more.
Pricing appears to be more stable for customers booking with American as well. Many of our Moving Experiences from the Better Moves Project reported estimates that beat competitor rates while avoiding added fees upon delivery, Allison’s move from New Jersey to Texas is a prime example of this.

Presto Logistics vs. BLVD Moving
BLVD Moving is similar to Presto Logistics in reach and scope. They both provide moves to California residents and operate primarily in California. As another point of comparison, they both advertise relatively few add-on options.
However, we think that BLVD’s customer reviews set it apart from Presto Logistics. Hundreds of reviews on Google with a higher overall score show that it does a better job at sticking to quoted rates. Some of our Better Moves participants found this out firsthand; Dana’s 1,000-mile one-bedroom move only saw a price increase of roughly $72 on moving day.

How moving with Presto Logistics works
Once you’ve gotten quotes from movers and have decided to book with Presto Logistics, you’ll have to go through the following steps for a successful move.
Steps to your move with Presto:
- Sign your moving contract: All reputable carriers and brokers will be able to provide a written contract with all services and associated rates written down. Most providers will send an email copy for you to e-sign once you’ve verbally agreed to book.
- Pay a deposit: This is usually handled as you sign your moving contract. We couldn’t find much information on Presto’s local moving policy, but long-distance moves require an upfront deposit.
- Get copies of your estimate and contract: After you’ve signed your contract, ask for your mover to email copies of this and your initial estimate for your own records. Refer back to this if there are any disputes about service or cost, or if there are points of confusion during your move.
- Local moving payment: Local moving bills are paid in full after your movers have provided all agreed-upon services and conducted a walk-through. Presto Logistics accepts wire transfers, credit cards, cash and certified checks for payment.
- Long-distance moving payment: Long-distance moves require that you pay a percentage of your move bill upfront as a deposit. Next, your movers will take half of your remaining total after your goods have been loaded. Final payment is required at your new home before your movers begin unloading.
During your quote, your Presto Logistics move coordinator will go over a few key points with you, including which items you’re allowed to pack in moving boxes, specialty items to be moved, payment policies and more. Be sure to pay attention to any details they go over at this time and add items to your pre-move checklist as needed.
