"Used Bellhop for a local move and I had a mixed experience. They showed up on time and made very quick efficient work of my items and furniture with minimal nicks/bumps on the walls of the apartment. However, towards the end of the move the team lead confirmed with the rest of the crew if they had gotten everything out of the truck, to which the crew had said yes. A couple minutes after they had left I realized through the clutter that I was missing key pieces to assembling some of my furniture, which were by no means small. I called the team lead and he had confirmed that the truck was empty, so I went to check my old place and double checked my new place and they were nowhere to be found. In the middle of filing a claim/complaint a couple days later with Bellhop I was contacted by the owner of the moving truck (not affiliated with Bellhop) to set up a time and place for me to get those items since they actually were still in the truck. Up until finding out some of my items were missing my review would have been 5 stars. I’m not certain I will be using Bellhop again, but if I do I’ll likely have to check behind the movers (which I’d rather not do since I know it’s best to stay out of their way to let them work efficiently)."
