Nick and his crew helped us with our in-town move, and I highly recommend them! Not a single scratch or dent on furniture or walls, which is very impressive. The pricing is very reasonable too. An easy 5 stars.

The guys with Smith Moving Company are the best. They were very professional and took great care with our things. They made sure everything was exactly where we wanted it. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed and efficiency with moving a 3 bedroom house.

Jarret and his team were nothing short of amazing. They were all professional, fast, and reasonable. They were racing the rain and brought in more help to get it done quicker. After they got me moved they assisted me in getting everything put back together and in its right place. I would recommend them to anyone.

Let’s get this out in the open, no one loves to move but Jarret and Josh made it so much easier than it could have been. Communication was excellent leading up to the move, then they balanced a two home /two days of loading move! All without a single issue. Stayed on schedule and the full staff were very polite and professional. I could not recommend them enough.

Top-rated Missouri statewide provider Moving Proz (4.64/5)
Per-piece handling fee $35 to $350
Custom crating per item $105 to $140

Framed artwork and sculpture face 3 distinct risks in transit: UV exposure, humidity fluctuation, and impact fractures. Standard moving blankets mitigate only the third and only partially. Junk removal is most cost-effective when bundled with a move, since the crew is already on-site and items removed from the shipment lower the final billable weight. Upright piano $560 to $1,050

Grand piano $1,260 to $2,450

Piano moving is a distinct skill set. Uprights run 400 to 800 lbs and grands exceed 1,200 lbs, and both require piano boards, straps, and padded blankets that standard crews do not carry. Structural damage to a soundboard or cabinet is not covered under released-value protection at $0.60 per pound, making full valuation coverage worth requesting specifically for the instrument. Bundling piano moving into a full-service household move is typically the most cost-effective approach.

  • Add-on services: Professional packing adds an average of $0.15–$0.21 per pound. Shuttle service, if required, adds $0.08–$0.12 per pound with minimums often starting around $200.
